- Resident Tuition applies to students who are Texas Residents for tuition purposes.

- Designated Tuition applies to all students. Designated tuition is a general use fee authorized by the Texas Education Code that most universities employ as part of a student?s total tuition costs. These funds are used to enhance students? educational experience, and the amount is proportional to the number of semester hours for which the student registers.

- Supplemental Fees defray the cost and preparation of educational materials provided to students.

- The Distance Education Fee, for distance students only, covers costs associated with maintaining our distance education efforts.
- The Library Acquisition Fee supports the maintenance and improvement of the medical library?s print and electronic resources.
