RECENT
CHANGES AND ADDITIONS
Welcome
to the Fall 2007 edition of Introduction to Research! Notices,
additions, corrections and just plain old changes will be posted at the top
of this page. Please check this page often.
- This is a web-based, self-paced,
student-centered course. As the course is self-directed it may be
completed at your own pace and completely on-line. There is a schedule to
help you budget your time and assignments have due dates. You will lose
points if you are late.
- Please note a point of possible confusion.
Assignments have both parts and steps. Each web page of an
assignment is called a step. The products that you send in for a
grade are called parts. Thus, Assignment 1 has four steps and 3
parts. To repeat, Assignment 1 has four web pages that present
information and 3 products you develop and turn in to be graded.
- In general, do NOT print course
materials because things do change occasionally and the web pages are
the official news. You will be notified of changes at the top of this
page. If you must print something, print the Schedule page. After
that, use the web for the remainder of this course.
- Many of the hyperlinks open
in a second browser window. Sometimes this window ends up behind the
others. Set your pop-up blocker to allow pop-ups from
