ASSIGNMENT TWO
INTERPRETING STATISTICS

To aid you in understanding how statistical results influence your interpretation of hypotheses, we present three examples. There are five combinations of outcomes for this study. In the examples we show you three possibilities. The other two outcomes are where one statistic is significant but the other is not. In these cases, one hypothesis would be supported while the other would not be supported.

Do you understand these examples? If not, now is the time to ask questions of your instructors or your classmates. Ask questions of your instructors and classmates via the Socratic Dialog, email your instructors directly, or during class.
