A Unique Experience Awaits You in Occupational Therapy

Welcome to the UTMB Department of Occupational Therapy. We are excited about your interest in our Master of Occupational Therapy degree program. You are considering an exciting and dynamic career choice. Occupational therapy offers you a world of opportunity in a variety of work settings.

Our nationally and internationally renown faculty share their wealth of experience in and enthusiasm for occupational therapy with our students. We start where our students are and work with them in the classroom and community to foster their personal and professional development into caring, compassionate, and competent occupational therapists.

Our world-class occupational therapy program offers an innovative and integrative curriculum with opportunities for applying classroom learning through service in diverse community settings. We are proud of the 82% pass rate of our graduates on the National Board of Certification for Occupational Therapy Examination. Our record of preparing our graduates for the real world of work is reflected by the fact that all members of our Class of 2007 have secured employment.

The Department of Occupational Therapy transition to the MOT degree with its first graduating class in 2006 (10 students), followed by a class of 18 students in 2007.  All students passed the national certification exam, 23 passed on the first attempt.

Come join us! From the coast to the campus to the classroom, a unique experience awaits you in occupational therapy here at UTMB.
