| Description: The student will be given the opportunity to demonstrate: 1) an understanding of the interrelationship of human metabolic functions in both normal and disease states; 2) the correlation of chemistry laboratory test results to normal and abnormal human physiology; 3) basic spectrophotometry and its relationship to Beer's Law; 4) explain the principles of analytical procedures and pertinent instrumentation involved in basic laboratory procedures; 5) skills in the performance of manual and automated procedures; and 6) quality control techniques in evaluating laboratory data. | Prerequisite: CLLS 3406 Biochemistry or [4 hours Organic Chemistry AND 3 hours Biochemistry] |
