Mycology  University of Texas Medical Branch Clinical Laboratory Sciences Offers Continuing Education in Clinical Mycology | Description: | The applicant will be given the opportunity to demonstrate:
- the ability to identify clinically significant fungi and yeasts
- the ability to perform procedures and techniques used for the identification of clinically significant fungi and yeasts
| | Prerequisites: | MLT/MT standing OR permission of the instructor - AND - General Microbiology course. | | Contact Hours: | The applicant may earn 15 continuing education contact hours. The University of Texas Medical Branch, Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences, is an approved provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences through the ASCLS P.A.C.E.® program. | | Fifteen one-hour, on-line lessons will be offered over the spring semester of each year. | | Fee: | $ 200 | | Presenter: | The presenter, Michelle Kanuth, PhD, MT (ASCP)SBB, is a professor in the Clinical Laboratory Sciences Department at the University of Texas Medical Branch. |
