Parasitology University of Texas Medical Branch Clinical Laboratory Sciences   Offers Continuing Education in Clinical Parasitology Description: The applicant will be given the opportunity to demonstrate: the ability to select and perform appropriate techniques for the detection of human parasites the ability to identify clinically significant human parasites and associate them with the disease process elicited Prerequisites: MLT/MT standing OR permission of the instructor      - AND - General Microbiology course. Contact Hours: The applicant may earn 15 continuing education contact hours. The University of Texas Medical Branch, Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences, is an approved provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences through the ASCLS P.A.C.E.® program. Fifteen one-hour, on-line lessons will be offered over the spring semester of each year. Fee: $ 200 Presenter: The presenter, Michelle Kanuth, PhD, MT (ASCP)SBB, is an associate professor in the Clinical Laboratory Sciences Department at the University of Texas Medical Branch.
