Professional Education Methods University of Texas Medical Branch Clinical Laboratory Sciences   Offers Continuing Education for Presentation Skills in Clinical Laboratory Sciences Description: The applicant will be given the opportunity to demonstrate application in the presentation of health care continuing education and in-service including: Using research methods to access and analyze the health care professional’s needs Constructing learner and content appropriate objectives Using evaluation techniques appropriate to the course material presented. Prerequisites: MLT or MT standing OR permission of the instructor. Contact Hours: The applicant may earn 30 continuing education contact hours. The University of Texas Medical Branch, Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences, is an approved provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences through the ASCLS P.A.C.E.® program. Fifteen two-hour, on-line lessons will be offered over the summer semester of each year. Fee: $ 400 Presenter: The presenter, Vicki Freeman, PhD, MT (ASCP) SC, is department chair and professor in the Clinical Laboratory Sciences Department at the University of Texas Medical Branch.
